It has been awhile since I posted on here. Life just gets in the way.
Update on reselling, last fall from about October through mid December, Poshmark was the best site for sales. I started on Poshmark in late May early June of 2024. My first sale occurred in September 2024. Sales were sluggish at first, as the holiday season approached sales picked up. My best selling items where vintage Waechtersbach West Germany red pottery dishes with a green tree on them. I picked up an 8 place setting set with several serving pieces for $35 at a local charity thrift store. I was left with 2 dinner plates, 2 salad/dessert plates, 1 serving bowl, a teapot, 7 teacups and saucers, 2 berry bowls, and 2 coffee mugs. I pulled down my listings in late January and started relisting pieces one at a time. I sold one bowl last month. As the new year began sales dropped off, only one sale in January, one in March, and so far three in April.
Etsy, sales have been slow, full disclosure my Etsy store has been opened since 2016. I started selling my overstock of yarn, cross stitch, craft items, and some vintage back then. In May of 2024, I started adding more vintage items to the mix. In 2024 I had ten sales total, so far this year only 1 sale.
Mercari has been waste of my time, zero sales. I have been listing on there for almost a year. I currently have 4 listings. Most likely I will close it out for good.
I am working towards adding a booth to my reselling, I hope to have that in place by 2026. I want to expand social media as well for my reselling business beyond Pinterest to include Instagram and possibly Twitter.
